Its utter simplicity goes right to the heart of what makes a circle so powerful, and what keeps a circle healthy for its members, without embroidery. It would be easy for a hurried reader who skipped through it without stopping to meditate on its words to mistake it as "lite." It has the lightness and ease that I associate with profound teachings. I have given this book to several young women who have never been in a circle before, and who haven't read much about women's spirituality or feminism.
