Becoming Who We Are: Temperament and Personality in Development (Guilford Series on Social and) ReviewNo matter who you are this is the book for you. It describes how you
got to be the person you are. What could be more important for all members
of the public? What is more, it is a true scientific discussion of
how you developed from an infant to an adult, incorporating all the latest
science in a way that is as easily absorbed by the novice as by the expert.
The novice can skip the references and take the authors word; she is modest,
but creative, in what she concludes. The expert can use the references to
gain knowledge of all the latest evidence.
One word of conflict of interest. I have written articles and books with the
author, all of which would be far more difficult to read than this one. However, I am not an author of this volume and wonder if that is how it got to be so good!
